I don't know jls and Brick personally, but I've been on BR for over a decade. And it's still a bowling community, it's something I share with everyone here - we all enjoy love bowling, but like notclay stated in a previous post, life is life.
The hardest part of my job in the medical field is, some times I'm the first to know if a patient may or does have cancer. And it's tough. My old lady works in the same health system/hospital as an RN working the field for the Hospice dept.. Some patients I know end up under her care.
We complain about the simple things, from no oil on the lanes to whatever. Yet we forget to count our blessings. People like jls and Brickguy and all those battling cancer have the courage and the fight many of us probably can't handle. Their love for life should be an example of how we should all live our lives.
I lost a girlfriend to breast cancer about the time I started BR, she was 31 years old. So, I wear a pink shoe lace on my left SST 8's to honor her. And since I don't know the type of cancer what jls and Brickguy are battling, I will wear a Lavender shoe lace on my right SST 8's shoe if that's okay with you both (Lavender ribbon represents all cancers.) and for all bowlers suffering with cancer.

Jls, Brick, you two are in my thoughts and prayers, as I'm sure you're in everyone else's. Don't have to tell you to be strong (what cancer survivor isn't strong), so enjoy every moment you have, with whomever it is you're with.
