For users and wanna be users of the Frames software

I have been using the frames software for the past 5 weeks - for every single ball I've thrown.

Although it does what it does fairly well, there are a lot of things that I feel are lacking for the "advanced" player - like - was my release good, fair, or poor? Was the shot high pocket, light pocket, etc.

I have also seen some extreme shortcomings in the PC side of the software.

I am a software engineer, and have been thinking seriously of working up a program for the truly advanced player.

For those of you who have used the software, what kinds of features would YOU like to see?

I agree, I have used it for almost a year now, and the one thing I notice the most is there is no way to input ball speed.  The release issue also, and when you look back at a game replay, it doesn't say what center you were at.  I'm being very nitpicky here, but for a piece of software that really is so complete, and has helped my game as much as it has, you almost have to be nitpicky.  I'm very happy with mine.

The PC side is horrible.

I think the issues of release and the type of pocket shot are all I can think of that I would add to it.


I thought about it and I kind of figure that they will update it so they can make more money on it. Just my guess.

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,...too much information.
I can do all that and more with a piece of paper and a pencil,..and a lot cheaper.

The software can be used over and over......EVENTUALLY at some point you are going to pay more for pencils and paper.



You have to take the future into consideration.

i get the paper and pencils from the bowling center, free,... and they don't malfunction, jam, delete, or garble.

How does the software work?  What does it do?  Just curious, because I've never heard of it.

I agree mumzie. The bulk of the work for the PDA should be to gather information and the pc should do the majority of the analyzing in some database.

As well there should be some free form notes ability... ie. this pair is 3 and 2 left from previous pair.

The software is available for PDAs.
The vendor's website is www.warilysoftware.com

They make an inexpensive, pretty good product. It just doesn't quite meet all my needs. I don't regret my purchase in any way!!!
