Who here has any, and how do you like them? I haven't seen much personally, but just wondered how "big" they are. What kind of balls do they compare with?

Think God someone noticed the same thing I have been questioning... JPM the reason the price is so high is cause there are people out there gullible enough to buy a procuct before actucally looking into what it is. I mean it say's PBA on it so it must me a good ball.. right? Again my analogy of re badging a 350z as selling it as an Q35 Coupe.

This has been hashed out a few times...basically, its like what Brunswick did with Quantums and Lane 1 currently....its all marketing...you are trying to market a product and say its better than anything else...but if the price is the same as most/everything else, there is no perceived difference from potential customers...but if they see a ball that is more expensive, believe it or not, the majority of consumers believe it is a better product....its like when you go to the grocery store...you can buy top of the line bread for $2 a loaf or the store brand for $1 or less...what is the difference, sometimes NOTHING in the product, but the regular brand is using price to say they perceived better product!

Not saying that Lane 1 or Quantums were/are no better than other stuff, as I did throw MOST of the Quantums when they were out and I have only tried 1 Buzzsaw....but marketing is a big part of economics nowadays.

Nobody is being forced to buy the balls. If nobody buys the balls, then Elite will have to decide if they want to make a price adjustment to rid themselves of all the excess equipment they have in stock and/or adjust their prices to become competitive with other brands.
A good bowler can score on a THS with pretty much any equipment - from $90 Grooves to $250 Paradigms. If they choose to spend $350 to buy one of these balls, then it's their choice. "There's one born every minute."
If a mid-level bowler wants to step up and buy something higher-end, they still can take the time to research the balls and determine if they want to spend $350 or $250, and they can talk to their pro shop operator for advice.
In any instance, I don't see the problem with Elite charging what they want to charge. They either succeed or fail based on this strategy. We'll see what happens next.

I have an Alien,had it for like 3 weeks now and have been throwing 700's alot with it,also had the front 10 last weds,to say they are better than other balls I have ever thrown would be silly,but seems the Alien does roll very well,not alot of over/under,If I continue to bowl well with it I might have to consider it may be the ball

I am Impressed with it so far.
