My arsenal-Thoughts?
« on: July 18, 2011, 11:30:00 PM »
Taking a step back and looking at my arsenal, I find that I have some overlaps that may not be needed. While its good to have options, sometimes it does get me in trouble expecially in tournaments. Here is what it looks like, in order from strongest to weakest:

Virtual Gravity

Momentum Swing

T-Road Solid

Pure Swing

607A

Hot Rod SS Pearl

Eraser

Amf Smoke

Ok so the first thing that jumps out for me is that the first overlap is the Momentum Swing and the T-Road solid. While the Momentum is pin up 5" from pap, and the T-Road is pin under bridge at $.5" from pap, the ball motions are very similar. One idea I have is to eliminate one and possibly insert an upper level pearl, which is the only reaction I think I am lacking-something along the lines of an Infinite Theory....

The bottom four balls generally see the most action, they double for the most part as my league bag. The 607A for the most part saw the most action in league last year, I think im pretty good at the bottom half. The upper half doesnt see action unless it tournament time, mostly because 98% or the time I just dont need that much ball. I could see an upper end pearl getting some action in league and tournament with the right drilling to allow it to fall a step above the 607A.

Thoughts??

Infinite Critical Theory

Infinite = hybrid
Critical = Pearl

Other than that, I really don't know...lol.

Oops my bad! Yeah in general I feel like an upper end Pearl would get me a better gap from my 607A to my upper end solids. The Pure Swing is a good ball, but alot smoother and in general better suited for straighter angle for my game.
