Skid/flip
« on: August 08, 2013, 07:42:24 AM »
I am retired and finding myself getting weaker in my wrist, can everyone let me know some strong skid/flip balls. With this ball I want to play down/in, but being a stroker with little axis tilt and med revs I'm not sure what I want. Predominately Storm has been my choice as of late but is not set in stone so all help and direction is needed.

What kind of ball speed do you have?  Recommendations are going to be quite different whether you roll the ball at 18-19mph as opposed to 15mph.

The 900G Link pearl and Eagles have been some of the most skid/flip balls I have thrown in the past couple years...

I also have low axis tilt and medium revs and prefer to play relatively down and in. To Twohand's comment, I probably have quite a bit more speed I would guess (18mph at pins) but nevertheless it would help to know a little more about the conditions you play and what current or past equipment you have/had that gave you good looks at your local house. Off the top of my head though something pearl from Storm like the Freak'n Frantic or original Frantic would be decent skid/flip options for a house shot. I myself have the original Frantic and it definitely has the "kicked left" motion when it hits the dry boards on a house shot. More details would be helpful though.

I am a medium speed stroker with sub 300 rpm, and low axis rotation.  Storm Lucid has the strongest back end reaction for my type of roll of just about any ball out there.  I especially like it on longer patterns.  I can get it to hit very hard without having to open up the lane.
