Fresh resurface on wood lanes...high series of the year
« on: July 20, 2004, 08:45:54 AM »
Normally I dread the summer screening and resurfacing process that's done for wood houses. The shot can be a little tighter and the carry a little tougher, and this year the approaches in the house I'm bowling the summer league in were much stickier than normal. Add in the fact that we were scheduled to bowl on lanes 1-2 (where only 3 banners for honor scores hang on that pair in 35 plus years, compared to some pairs that have 20 to 25) and I wasn't expecting a banner night.

Well, I proceeded to reel off my highest series in about 5 years with a 771. First game was a 279 with my Eraser Pearl Particle, leaving a 7 pin in frame 6. After leaving another 7 pin in frame two of game two, I switched to my El Nino Wrath. Went off the sheet for a 280 game. In game three I went back to my Eraser Pearl Particle, mixed in single pin leaves and strikes. Had two poor balls all night (1 tug for a 4-7 leave, another ball where I put no fingers on it and I left a washout) and shot 212 for the last game.

What have your scores been like following resurfacing/ rescreening for those of you that bowl on all wood lanes?

Matt
