« on: December 14, 2008, 12:42:20 PM »
Ok heres the scenario.. on my Thursday night league one of the guys we were bowling hit to the pin his average for the first two games and way above for the last.. but it got me thinking how often do we actually bowl our averages.. and has there ever been a triplicate thrown of someone's average?

That is an interesting question.  I went back through my stats for the 1st 14 weeks this season and have not hit my average on the number yet.  In fact I only have 18 games out of 42 over my average for that week all season.  Guess that means I bowl a lot of big, and a lot of not so big games... (like 234 - 165 - 241 last week)

Guess that is why it is an average

This is what I'm averaging per game after 42 games this season:
Game #1: 223.07
Game #2: 238.50
Game #3: 228.57

Average: 230.05

Close to average per game, but at least consistent. I think my low average the first game is due to practice games before league starts, we have 36 teams bowling in a 36 lane house this season.  I used to come in early before league started and roll a couple of games to loosen-up, but now it's not allowed after lanes are oiled for league.
