Funny Bowling Poem
« on: September 08, 2005, 06:10:54 AM »
Hey all,

Not looking to brag, but I shot 300 Tuesday night.  The funny thing about it was the twelfth ball.  My friend came up with a poem to commemorate the occasion.

Here it goes:

First eleven strikes were nice and neat.
Ball number twelve almost went right through the beak.
The arms felt weak and the ball very heavy,
I threw the last one,
Just like a lefty.

HE HE HE HE HE!!!!!

It is true, the last one was brooklyn.  The house gives out jackets for your first honor score of the year.  I put the name Brooklyn on this one.

Any other additions or new poems for funny occurrences we can come up with.  Thought it might be funny to hear something.

Nice bowling. I know of very few 300s with out at least one lucky shot. I saw one without a lucky shot tonight - my teammate shot one. And when I shot mine, one shot had a very slightly late 10 pin - otherwise, it was perfect. But other than those, every one I've ever seen has a high hit, or brooklyn, or light and swishy...
Great bowling - and great literary talent too!

A couple of years ago Brad Paisley had a song out about a guy's girl leaving him cause he went fishing. Me and a buddy of mine changed the words of the chorus to fit our particular sport. If any of you listen to country, here is how our version of the chorus goes:

I'm gonna miss her, when I get home
But right now I'm on this great pair and
I've got 11 in a row
I'm sure it'll hit me
When I walk thru that door tonight
Yeah I'm gonna miss, but right now
I need a strike.

Yeehaw! Congrats on the great bowling.

Thanks guys.  It was pretty nice since I have been making some decent sized changes in my game for only about 2 weeks now.  I was pretty skeptical at first, but I think it is coming around.

The sig will be changed, but to be clear is was due to the 294 and 295 I had in the same season.  More of a joke since this last 300 was my 19th.  Number 20 here I come.

Brock,

That one is great for sure.

Hey Leftside.  Still living here, just no time to get on here like I used to.  Life is too busy sometimes.
