How do you measure your bowling ball span?

Where do you measure from and to? Is it from the end of the finger holes to the start of the thumb hole? Any help would be appreciated.

Cut to cut span is from the drilled edges of each hole.  "Actual" span includes the thumb slug and/or finger grips in the measurement.

a_ak57...no grips or slug. do I measure from the top of the finger holes or the bottom of them, and to the top of the thumb hole or to the bottom...sorry for my lack of knowledge.

YOu measure the parts of each hole taht are closest to each other (the inside).

Example:

----O-O----
----M-M----
-----------
-----M-----
-----O-----

The "M"'s represent what i mean by the inside.

IF you have a LOT of bevel, it MAY give a false measurement.  Put something IN the  holes like a PENCIL and measure BETWEEN those.
