ON switching to lefthanded...
« on: August 05, 2010, 02:01:17 AM »
I see posts on this sometimes and though I certainly not the best.

There are several incredible right-left bowlers with 850s on both sides!  WOW!

For a couple of days weeks I have done OK!

My observations.  Hard!
Spares like that pesky 7 pin takes a LOT of work.  In fact if you didn't have to work on your spares on your natural side....you will now.
Misses by amounts you can't see will happen until you work hard at them.

Usually most throw a little slower than their natural hand, most$ try a lower weight to start but it doesn't seem to help much.  ALso seems to lead to NOT learning proper timing!

Good luck.  If it is a finger or thumb....try righthanded two handed bowling.....I wish I did!

If you can't even move your natural hand....try the other hand BUT you will usually lose 40 to 50 pins initially EVEN if your strike ball isn't bad or is even better.  You WILL work to raise it closer to your natural arm average!

As to being easier....on the left....maybe on league!  BUT not on sport conditions.  Remember on the left what is put out on the left STAYS longer.....Easy or HARD!
