Gathering attendance roll

OK, here we go.  So far we have what I would call firm committments from:

Kev3inp and Diane
Alakazam (Gary) and Joanne
Janderson and Kat
Graille (Jason)
Magic Carpet (of course!) and Karen
Joe Falco, last I heard.
Dr. Joe, Mindy & the Chaos Twins (sounds like a band. )
Robuster w/wife and a son or more.

Strider and his wife
crazyyankee, wife and an appearance by Frank. at least for Fri


Tell me who can't make it, too:
 Jess:  can't make it this year.  
 Nollster: not this year.
 novawagonmaster: not this year  

Who else is out there, yes or no? I'll edit as we go along.

There will probably be a few from bowlingboards.com, too.  Colleen made her presence felt there, as well.  I like Dr. Joe's idea of making the tournament the Colleen Becker Memorial Bragging Rights Tournament.  What say you all? I wouldn't mind naming the whole shebang after her. And pardon me if I tear up when I speak of her. She made the Gathering for us, and I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way.

I've always wanted to attend this event soooo bad, but at my age and health, it is simply too far and expensive for me to travel to.

Thanks for starting this thread Kevin, the Misses and I are leaving this Sunday, the 28th for our annual road trip to see family and friends.  We'll be in Atlanta for a few days to see the new Aquarium, then on to Chicago for about 12 days, making our way to Ohio for another 10-12 days, and finally to the Gathering.  

We're looking forward to seeing some old friends and making some new ones too, we don't have a laptop to travel with so I can only check in here when we're at our daughters homes but we'll see everyone soon!

Of course I'll be there.  Unfortunately Andy (good friend of myself and Ron, regular at Creekside but rarely posts here) won't be bowling as he recently broke his leg and will be in a cast for another 2+ months.  Hopefully I can get my wife to make more of an appearance this time.

I'll be having the annual poker tournament at my house (15 minutes from the bowling center) and can help anyone set up golf or other outings since I live so close.

Sorry guys. As much fun as Shannon and I had at last year's Gathering, we will not make it this year. I have a big show/race event the week before with my car buddies (www.lxforums.com). I just can't take that much time off work. Hopefully the dates work out better next year and we can do both.

Have fun gang, we will be thinking about all of you (including Colleen).
