Generate Ball Speed
« on: October 01, 2004, 04:59:44 PM »
Im a tweener... I controll my ball speed between 14.5 - 16.5 through the pin deck pretty well. But I have been working on my rev rate and have increased it and now my ball speed needs improvement. For those that can generate consistent ball speeds above 17 through the pin deck on stike balls, what do you attribute as the key in maintaining your speed?

Thanks sawbones... I already am at 15 and perhaps you are right.. I might consider dropping to 14 for balls when I need to increase ball speed. I will drill a couple up and try it. I might be able to use more agressive balls too.. which would increase my carry percentage.

To get more speed try this....Move your approach starting point back about 18 inches....Increase the length of your first step....this will give you a quicker tempo with your steps & naturally give You more ball speed
