Is bowling REALLY that hard ?...
« on: October 11, 2006, 05:20:04 AM »
Seriously people...is bowling really as hard as most people make it out to be ?

Keep your arm straight - look at your target - cup you wrist - keep your wrist straight - should I take 4 or 5 steps ? - walk slow - change balls - duller ball - polished ball - grips or no grips ? - high vs low backswing - what drill should I use ? - do I need a new ball ? - what wrist brace do I get ? - ball wont hook - ball hooks to much - how do I shoot spares ? ect.......

LOL

Just play the damn game........

Bowling is only as hard as you percieve it to be. Than sit down have a beer and watch the others struggle to carry.

You could have all those options running through your head. Or you could say "Tonight just aint gonna be my night" & throw the ball right at the head pin.

I think one of the hardest things is consistency. Followed by lane conditions (cos really, its the only thing that we cant control)

It wouldn't be so difficult if we could just get that darn ball return out of the way...

its a condition

It's the most difficult easy game I know.  But, at its core is the basic challenge facing people in all sports:  Will my body do what my mind is telling it to do?  If the answer is yes, you can be the Michael Jordan of bowling.  If not, you'll be just like the rest of us.
