I lift weights and do all of the above you mentioned. It hasn't hurt my game, its actually helped me. The lifting weights has gotten me much stronger in my Wrist, arm and shoulder, along with my back and legs. All of these things has helped me, the being tight thing is not a problem just stretch for about 10 min before you bowl and your ok. If not you will be pulling your shot and everything so stretching is very vital to your game if you lift weights, well for anyone but weight lifters especially.
The thing about lifting and bowling is that it can help you be more explosive and have much more power in your shot to really increase carry %. For some that has problems with speed and revs, weights can help that out a bunch.
there is a book titled "The ultimate guide to weightlifting for the bowler" and it gives specific work outs for the bowler and routine to help you become more of a powerful player. It has great information in it to help with power, balance and many other fundamentals associated with bowling.
