I find that it is angle of entry. The 3 is hit high and goes straight back a bit and puts the 6 pin into the gutter and doesn't hit out the 10. I will normally slow down my ball to create a sharper angle, back up on the approach to get more roll, or even move to the right a board and move forward and lob the ball a few feet to create a delayed hook. Those tend to work.
One thing I also do is make sure I am good at picking up the 10 pin because a lot of times nothing helps
