Vise switch grips

Anybody having trouble with vise switch grips? Can't keep from breaking the thread part of the slug part, and the replacements won't take glue. It doesn't seem to matter if it's vise glue or turbo or Gorrilla!  I have heard everything from bad product...obviously! And now the latest was oils in the plastic keeping the glue from adhearing..do ya think! Wow,  I can't say I'm very impressed the the product or the company..they don't seem to be standing behind their product at all!  Any one else?

I've been using Vise IT for 2 years before that Turbo SG.  Prefer Vise IT over Turbo.  I have had no problems what so ever.  Seems to me that you are installing them or your driller incorrectly if you are having issues.  Call Vise and get some help.

I have also been using the IT for approximately 2 yrs and have had no problems with it.  I used the Turbo switch grip in the past as well and had a couple break. 

 

I agree that it is most likely an installation error.  When I make my own slugs, I make sure and let the glue set overnight.  When you glue the moly on the slug and then drill right away you do not give the glue long enough to set.

From what i understand it's an ongoing problem with high backswing/torque players.. getting the same feedback from various quality drillers

I do not have a really high backswing, it is at or just above my head.  I do however put plenty on the ball so I think the arguement that this being an ongoing problem with power players is overrated.  I was mapped using the cats and I am at 425 ish rpm's and 17 - 18 mph.  I just think that proper installation is the key, to whatever brand you use.

Been using the Vise IT for over 2 years and have not broken a single one, nor have I witnessed one breaking.

 

Broke MANY Turbo Switch Grips, hence their generations 2,3,4,.....

 

Vise IT is the best product on the market for interchangeable thumb systems.  I would call Vise or have your pro shop/installer call Vise.

I've used the Turbo's for 3 years now,the early ones had weak tabs and I broke a couple of them but they have been redesigned and haven't broke one for about 2 years now....It's what our Proshop sells and it has worked well for several of our bowlers here. But I'd agree contact Vise I'm sure there is a solution....

Nothing gets solved writing about it on a forum.  Call Vise and get it rectified.  Least that's what I would do if wanted to get the issue resolved.

I've been using the Vise IT for about a year without a single issue.  I think all of the interchangable thumb products are good.  I did have the Tubo SG, but my issues were more about installation than the product.

I am planning on calling.. in reference to turbo was just at a turbo/storm demo in Detroit.. 1st shot broke the turbo!  I will make the call tho.

Contacted Vise... as of today still waiting for a solution. They are aware of the problem and could possibly be an isolated  instance to shipments to northern Ohio. Wait and see. Hopefully not too long!

I've been using Switch Grips for over 2 years, maybe 3, and so far, I've only had one slug crack on me. The bottom "wing" on the insert cracked and it was fixed with super glue, which held for about another 2 months before I had to replace it. I have Em in all my balls now and just got the system installed in a couple of my 14 year old sons 15# balls.  In fact, now that he is throwing the same weight as me and has the same span, he can now throw my balls, which now saves me some money for now.  

I know it sounds like I'm in denial, but I'm not.
