I don't think that ballreivews.com should become that large a bowling site.  It might be cool, but it may be a waste; there's only so much a person can tell you without having the person in front of you.

Coaching on this site??

If you're not coaching how to get 600+ revs on the ball and playing coast to coast, it's not bowling, just boring strikes.

Coaching on here is what ball to get next.

Probably get some posts from us old Pharts on here, but we're a dying breed.

Hope to see you on TV soon.

There's no coaching forum because all of these terrible hacks will turn into John Jowdy and Fred Borden overnight from the safety of their own keyboard.  It's bad enough you have 190 average house bowlers with 50 balls giving people drilling reccomendations like they're Mo Pinel.

I'd say make the forum, it'll only add to the ongoing joke that this site has become.

p.s. We all at the top of this sport are laughing at you.  We are.

Although I don't agree with the rhetoric used here, there is a point that can be taken.  If there was such a forum, to avoid anyone and everyone acting as coach, a user list of certified coaches on this site might be a quite helpful.  There might be more value in the posting if the bowler seeking help was able to determine whether the advice was being given by John Jowdy or some 13 year old with an internet connection...No offense to all of the 13 year old certified coaches out there

Great input guys....its always good to hear feedback like that. I am in the finishing stages of my online coaching program for my website, where you submit videos to me through our servers and i can then input the video into my system, then build a custom lesson plan and send you the CD back with voiceovers. We've been working on this program for over 2 years now and with a little luck it will be launched very soon. The program is finished, we're just working on the payment pages and then it should be good to go.

I dont really want to turn this into my own personal advertisement, but i did want to see what the interest level is in coaching in a forum setting. I'm thinking ofworking through this site to help the education of bowlers across the country. I'm talking about physical game, mental game, lane play, PBA Experience league advice, arsenal assembly, ball reaction help, etc...

There will be a charge for my services online, but i'm sure we can do something in this forum to give people a place to go to share some tips. Of course i'm hoping that other coaches will catch on and chime in. I'm willing to help anybody at anytime, any age or skill level. With my online programs i can coach anybody, anywhere, anytime. It may not have the same appeal as having a "one on one" coach with you on the lanes, but i feel that i have the coaching experience that just about anybody can utilize. No i guess its up to me to get everything up and running and turn you guys loose !!! I will send the webmasters a note and see if they would be interested in adding a coaching section to this forum. Thanks again for your responses

Sounds good Jeff. I am looking forward to you getting your service up and running. Then I will have to learn how to down load the video to the computer

Funny thing. I have heard that throwing a football in a spiral underhand demonstrates the release to gain revs but I never used that technique for instruction myself. I was wondering where to post my request for a coach's explanation for a step by step. A coach's forum would be perfect.

I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find all sorts of useful training/coaching information on the internet.

Most of the bowlers that are shooting big numbers already know it doesn't mean anything on the house walls. Jeff set the record for highest league average of 261 or something like that. He still had to work his a@@ off to make the show on the PBA tour.
I for one am always making trips to the Kegel Training Center to see if I can make it to the next level. I know my 235 league average means nothing. Now my C.A.T.S numbers are a lot more relevant. If I can just get my break point accuracy down to three boards !   I'm for anything that can take me to that point.
