Anyone offering an over/under on the number of Rotogrip Gems that will be on the ball returns of my four teams? 

Over 7. Same guys will come back and claim how “tight” they were. No, your ball was exhausted at 25 feet and had nothing left down lane.

You might just win with that number. I've already seen several in my Challenge league and we are currently on a 37 ft pattern with moderate oil. Of course the scoring pace was seriously dropping toward the end of the first game and got worse as the night went on.

A few years ago I had a new bowler go to the Open with my group and he had a 6 ball roller. Dude had six different brands of balls and all six of them were the newest, biggest hook monster that each brand offered. Of course, he shot a very low 400 for each of the three sets.

Afterwards, he was asking for advice and when I said, 'Maybe have 6 different balls instead of six of the same ball', he just wanted to argue that they WERE different.

 I could not explain to him(in a way he was willing to listen to) that the label on the ball didn't make it different.

I sincerely hope he has learned from his errors or he’s no longer with your group.

No longer with my group. Ironic how some big shot house 200+ bowlers gets such a pissy attitude when they are forced to admit they aren't as good as they believed.

In Baton Rouge, I had a new bowler quit after the second frame of the first game of singles. He was a 210+ house bowler. Shot mid 300 in team, barely 400 in doubles and when the two opens(with a gutter first ball) occurred at the start of singles, he was done. He packed up his stuff and sat in the bleachers. The last thing I heard from him was "F*** this tournament, I'm a better bowler than this"

Some videos are popping up of people bowling well, seeing strong asymmetrical pearls in the middle of the lane later in the team sets, and right off the bat in minors looking pretty good. I'm leaving on Wednesday and bowl the 26-27th.

Jackal Ghost, Mythic Jackal, Shock, Fatal, Spare, and random lottery pick i'll decide when i'm loading my truck up to go to the airport in tow. New Blue Coral Venom is in consideration strongly.

Well, got back home today. Guess not too bad for my first try.

Shot 590 in team, 553 in doubles, and 500 in singles.

 Matchup is  CRITICAL. Hope you have the right ball in your hand, or the ability to obtain it in a moments notice.

 I wished I had taken a weaker piece, which would have allowed me to play tighter line over the third arrow area. Had to try to swing what I had with me too much, and missed into the out of bounds too many times.

 I also found out what a spare ball is for. Tried making tenpins during practice with my “regular” equipment, and then went straight away and got me a Storm Mix to shoot tens with. Take a spare ball, you’ll need it, lol.
