Michelle --
You're right. It does get to me. It hurts. But I am not looking for sympathy as I know I won't get any from this group.
I know some people construe what I did as fraud and after 6 years, there is nothing that is going to change their mind.
I have apologized up and down. I tried to rectify the situation back then with what I thought was a good idea. Obviously, it was not...and I freely admit that.
Yes, most were offered a credit on another site I have. Some were issued a check. However, it didn't matter what I did, people were going to run my name thru the mud regardless.
Certain people have a personal vendetta against me. And as I stated to the person who started this post, I have learned that I cannot possibly make everyone happy. All I can do is post my side of the story and let those that have a mind of their own, make their own opinion and not listen to those who try to shove their opinions down their throats. Those that are "followers" and let others opinions influence their thoughts, well, I wish them luck in life.
Anyhow, like I said, I am done fighting this issue. I have publically apologized MANY times over the past 6 years, tried to amend relationships and still this issue pops up.
Did I make a mistake? Yes.
Do I regret it? Yes.
Would I do it again? No.
Can I take it back? No.
I would like to meet the person who has not made a mistake in their life. They can probably teach us all a lesson here.
What else can I say?

Wow, really now -- 6 years later?
The question was raised and some answered.

Personally, I am done fighting this. People will make their own opinions, and others will force their opinions down each others throat.
And people wonder why I sold this site.
Au contraire...it seems to still nip at your inner ethos else you would not have poked your head in here to give a response, especially as lame as it was.
The real question people have is why you wanted people to pony up only to disappear via sale as quickly as transpired. Quite frankly, it DID smack of fraudulent inducement, especially when the only 'refunds' were to another site you operated.
