Golf is ruined for good
« on: January 26, 2017, 02:30:35 PM »
Last year Jim Furyk, who had already shot a 59, shoots a 58 for the new PGA tour record.  This year already, 2 players shot 59 within 10 days of each other.  Golf is getting too easy,  people are going to be quitting the game in droves now.

The difference with golf is that it doesn't take a championship course to humble 90% of golfers who can't break 90 on a 6000, yard muni.  Just getting a ball air borne is a bigger challenge than keeping the ball out of the gutter for most people.

Yeah - went to a driving range with a buddy some 10 years ago. We had never golfed before but wanted to check it out outside of putt-putt. We get ready, ready to just send it!...swing..miss...swing...miss...swing...miss...humbled.
