Good balls on the rack...

Okay, why at some of the older houses or at least some of the houses that are not AMF or Brunswick or something have good balls on the rack sometimes? I can't figure this out becuase at the bowling alley 2 blocks away from my house which I go practice on every 3 or 4 days, I see a lot of genuine equipment next to houseballs! I have seen the following: X Factor Reloaded, Code Red Critical Mass, Trauma, Inferno, El Nino X-It, Bolt, and more I forgot. Why do people leave there balls at these houses for anyone to take? And the main question...Have any of you ever seen, used or taken good equipment at a place? Thanks...

Some people get tired of balls or they just don't fit their style of play anymore and instead of selling them they just donate them to the rack. Some people may take and keep them and some people may take one and leave one that their tired of.

I have picked up 2-3D offsets and a couple of Buzzsaws in the past.  I offered to pay the front counter for them, but they said just take em.

Interesting.  The only premium ball I've ever seen on the house ball racks was also a 3-D Offset.  I see lots of the old urethane Angles--gold, purple, gray, black, and blue.  Those were premium balls in their day.

saw a sumo once..non amf center

heck at the local amf i cant even find my own adrenaline I left a couple weeks ago...didnt want to plug it, a circular crack was building around the soon to blow out fingerholes, plus i didnt like how it rolled anymore(hadnt used it in about six months)

ive got a VERY dull jungle green predator i might leave next...thumb slug slips out about a 20th of an inch which i just jam back in(once every couple series), needs new finger grips....havent used it in a year(plus it has about 300 games on it but since i left it at a very dull state after resurfacing, i swear it feels like sandpaper to the touch)

I donate a lot of balls to my local bowling centers, I usually leave them at the counter first so they can give them to some of the youth bowlers that CANT AFFORD NEWER EQUIPMENT! these are foster kids or hadicapped children. I have even bought a bag for these kids. Special Olyimpics is another wonderful program for the kids.
