Had a team name quite a few years ago.  My Brother-in-law and a couple of our friends, which happened to be black. Came up with the name F.G.O.C.
It stood for F***ing Granny's Oreo Cookies, needless to say my brother-in-law and I were the filling, and that was our line up....

Some of these I've had, some I haven't...

Split Squad -- It's a baseball term used during spring training in Florida and Arizona, but it just seemed to fit bowling.

Dammit -- A friend famous for the word named a team after the word.

Bye -- Another friend named his team this, hoping people would see it and not bother showing up. I thought that was pretty industrious.

X-rated -- typical bowling terminology.

3 women and a baby -- Three 70-year-old ladies and one 19-year-old male cranker. Pretty cute IMO.

Deadwood -- This one popped up after the television series by the same name got popular. The fact it crosses into bowling terminology makes it even better.

My current team name is "Troublemakers," which I inherited from the former team captain who has since quit. We're all laid-back folks so it's a complete misnomer.

Most clever may have been the team made up of Richard Johnson, Richard Ellis, Richard Mellen and Steven Nutt -- Three Dicks and a Nutt. Bowled against those guys on a college intramural team. Drunks who couldn't bowl worth a diddle but they had the best name on the league.

Big Dick's halfway Inn --
We actually won the league and they screwed it up on the trophies and forgot the last N. How crass!!!

I bowl in a league that has the team name L.O.F.T. Our team name in that league is Where's My Balls. We didn't know what to name the team and the second week of the league one of the ladies on our team drank too much before league even started and was mad because she thought someone took her stuff from her locker. Took her 15 minutes and her daughter to figure out that she went to the wrong locker mutiple times hence the name of our team.

We had a team last summer in a no tap league where our line up went like this:

Shannon
Erin
Kenny
Steve

We took the first initial of each person in the order of our line up.  Our team name was SEKS.

My current mixed team name is "Channel Surfers", as I usually start with a down and shot inside the 5 board and the other guy on the team throws two handed and bounces it off the wall inside the 5 board.

Along the lines of the Sofa Kings, I was on a team years ago called the Far Cues...got the name from Moroni's goofy cursing in Johnny Dangerously.
