Some of these I've had, some I haven't...
Split Squad -- It's a baseball term used during spring training in Florida and Arizona, but it just seemed to fit bowling.
Dammit -- A friend famous for the word named a team after the word.
Bye -- Another friend named his team this, hoping people would see it and not bother showing up. I thought that was pretty industrious.
X-rated -- typical bowling terminology.
3 women and a baby -- Three 70-year-old ladies and one 19-year-old male cranker. Pretty cute IMO.
Deadwood -- This one popped up after the television series by the same name got popular. The fact it crosses into bowling terminology makes it even better.
My current team name is "Troublemakers," which I inherited from the former team captain who has since quit. We're all laid-back folks so it's a complete misnomer.
Most clever may have been the team made up of Richard Johnson, Richard Ellis, Richard Mellen and Steven Nutt -- Three Dicks and a Nutt. Bowled against those guys on a college intramural team. Drunks who couldn't bowl worth a diddle but they had the best name on the league.
