Need a Second Ball for Wife's Chritmas Present
« on: November 24, 2007, 09:28:51 AM »
I need to buy my wife a second ball for medium to medium-heavy oil conditions for a Christmas present.

She has slow ball speed, typically between 15 and 45 degrees axis rotation. She has a Lane #1 Cobalt Bomb drilled stacked leverage.  She loves the reaction, but it only hooks on medium-dry lanes.  When the lanes are even a little more oily than usual the ball just never makes it back to the pocket.

If you could, I'd appreciate your ball suggestions (any brand) and drilling recommendations too.

Thanks.

Is the one she currently has a solid cover or a pearl?

Not that it's for heavy oil but would still be stronger then the pearl.  Why not try the Solid Cobalt, If anyone has them still all Lane#1 stuff poured by the Big B have major discount's on them right now.

I would highly recommend a Lane #1 Supernova. One of my home houses puts down a pretty soupy THS, and the Supernova is a great match.

Look into the MoRich Awesome Flip. I have seen people with lower ball speeds have great success with this ball...

Edit: Or if you are looking for a sloid, try the Awesome Finish...

I would highly recommend the Hammer Anger.  Great ball at a great price and very strong.  Not skiddy at all unless you have a total mess up and down the lane.
