Good Dry Lane ball

I bowl a second shift league so by game 3 they are usually toast.  My BTU Pearl has been the best for me, when even my Rhino wants to hook a lot.

For clarification, the BTU is not urethane.  It's reactive resin that Brunswick tweaks so that it reacts slower to friction (like urethane) but still hits like we want.

Th fanatic BTU pearl is a great dry lane ball, I've seen it in action... You wouldn't be disappointed.

I was throwing EBI only for a while had a few Pardox's and other Track pieces that were great. I tend to buy lots of a companies balls if I  like them. In search of rare Track balls I  found a NIB  Desert Heat that has been the best dry lane reactive I've ever thrown.  I can throw it in the burn and it just gets down lane with ease. I mean with ease doesn't puke or roll out any it hits I don't know what they've done to accomplish this but it's great. It's a shame I'm throwing Storm / Roto Grip.  And I  haven't had to throw it but once since I bought it. So it's in storage for now.

What kind of shape do you see from the BTU Pearl on the dry? One of my leagues/houses has decided to masquerade as a desert this season so I'm considering my options. I have a Shout that works well, but hey if I come across a BTU Pearl for a good price I want to know what I'm getting myself into.

For me the BTU pearl goes long and arcs back to the pocket, slightly stronger than urethane, but reminds me of urethane.  Carry is dramatically better.  Last week I was playing on the dry where everyone had long since vacated...

My teammate has a ton more hand, so his BTU pearl crosses a few more boards, but he's thrilled because it responds slower than the traditional reactive resin and he can easily control it too.

Also, as an experiment I added some polish on top of the factory finish and the ball went pretty STRAIGHT, but could be used on the driest of lanes.  If you take a slower response ball and add polish it should go straight, so I tweaked it back closer to factory and it's saving me every week.

If looking to save some money tough to beat either a Pyramid Path Rising (have that one), or Ebonite Crush/R or Turbo/R.  All those balls can be found for less than $80.

My vote would be for a Storm Tropical Breeze, had one bfore it cracked that I need to replace. Easy length without preserving all its energy to over flip on the back end.

Would like to know if yhe BTU Pearl is stronger than the current Blue Hammer.

I can't answer your question exactly because I haven't seen anyone use the Blue Hammer.   
I suspect that the BTU Pearl is different.  Assuming the Blue Hammer is urethane, the BTU Pearl would likely go longer and have most of it's movement late.   On the dry it's very good, while most urethane balls carry better when the lanes aren't "toast" yet.

No actually the Blue Hammer isn't true urethane and goes remarkably long.  Longer in fact than the BTU Pearl.  The BTU pearl is a bit stronger and backends harder though and would be more versatile on all but the driest lanes or extreme burn.  Blue Hammer makes a great spare ball though and is significantly cheaper than the BTUs.  Love my Ogre urethane for spare duties but do miss my Blue Hammer sitting in closet lonely lol.
