Im looking for something that is good for the lanes when they start to fry up a bit. I was thinking the avalanche pearl, street rod pearl or rapid fire pearl. any suggestions/opinions?

Better go with an Avalanche Solid - the Pearl seems to be VERY weak, rather a choice for the high rev players who search for length. Or drill it strong, but so far the AP seems to be best suited for very light conditions, not when the the track starts getting dry.
A simple Power Groove or Tropical Storm might also be a good option - never underestimate these entry level balls for light conditions!

neptune or pluto are good so are vibes also look into the ogre line

Avalanche Solid at 2000 Abralon w/ Rough Buff
Street Rod Pearl
AMF Angle Reactive(great ball for the price, no suprises at the pin deck)
Hammer Razyr(amazing hit and carry)
Angle and Razyr are both 3 piece pancake cores, that will give you no suprises when the pins go down. Rapid Fire Pearl is a medium oil ball, it will not be able to handle dry lanes.
For you, being a low tracker and having medium speed, I'd suggest the Razyr the most, because it is a light-dry lane ball, that can be used on medium when you play right on top of the dry boards.

I've got both the Rayzr and the Neptune. Both balls work well on burnt stuff. My Neptune, 5 3/4" pin over fingers, seems to work better coming up the back more than twisting it. My Rayzr, pin up and right 3/4" from grip center per instructions, seems to work better twisting it. I would recommend either ball.

A Temper will read the midlane too much on light-dry lanes and will burn out

From what I have seen the Tantrum is much better for medium to light than the Temper.

I was not a fan of my Street Rod Pearl and it was also too strong for medium/light conditions. I really like the Pluto and Ogre Pearl SS for those conditions.
