Good Spare ball?
« on: July 25, 2004, 05:07:11 AM »
I'm in the market, and I was wondering, what is the best (straightest) spare ball out right now in your opinion?  ANyone know how hard those new team storm balls are?  That blue one looks nice.

Well, I'll probably go with a spare storm or get a soccer ball and shove it in BK's face.  That patch on pap thing looks pretty cool, though.

How can I stop hanging around a person who is in my league?

And I don't like the clear balls, after a while they look like sh¡t....

Was there ever a storm baseball?

maybe you ought to learn how to take your hand out of the ball for spares like Walter ray does, then it won't matter what you use.

Oh, I know, but I just want a straight spare ball.  I have a black target zone, and that thing will still hook a couple boards, so I'd rather have something that just doesn't hook no matter what.

Andy--In my opinion the Spare Storm is the straightest. Besides the Storm,
I own a Big Blue spare ball, a Visionary Infra-red Amulet, Target Zone, Black Knight, Clear Wolf, XXXL, and Blue Dot.  They all work fine, but the Storm is a bit straighter.  Until about 1995 the Columbia Blue Dot was the straightest,
imho, but due to brittleness problems Columbia used the same formula polyester resin for the Blue Dot that was (is) used for the White Dot.

Ok, well thanks (most of you), I think I'm probably just gonna pick up a spare storm.
