« on: September 15, 2007, 01:12:42 PM »
Man did miss alot to the left tonight. Fought this last year. What would cause this? Timing seemed OK. Wife said it look like maybe I was turning my shoulders to the left.

Thanks

When I do that I'm not staying down on the shot and pulling up too soon.

My friend tugs to the left really badly.  Whenever he does, he ALWAYS drops his right shoulder down and that makes him point it left.  When he keeps his shoulder up, he throws it well.

i have to admit, i have this problem. i only bowled about 10 games the last 2 years because of rotator cuff surgery, came back and i could not hit my mark to save my a##. finally slowed down and tried to keep my arm swing in tight and release the ball fairly close to my left ankle. it kept my shoulder up plus i got a lot more lift because i didn't kill it by dropping the all and tugging it. it's the first time i have tried it, seems  to work for me, plus you only have 1 thing to concentrate on. i think if i get my arm out, i kinda chicken-win it and throw it about 2-3 boards of my mark, every time.
