I noticed looking at it that on 2 of the 3 vid's it looks as if i am very off balance.

So on my first step, i have to "move" the ball, what do you mean by that?

So in the first vid, i should stay planted on my left foot as i finsh, and not have the side step?

I had the same problems with balance earlier this year and when a friend showed me what I looked like I started to practice more to correct the problem.
While I didn't make a huge average jump I did get much more consistency at the line and more consistent scores.
IMHO,  I agree with the posts about your balance at the line. Fix that and you'll probably see an improvement almost immediately.

Making a mental note of that, gives me something to practice on my all you can bowl Monday's.    Anything else that, im doing wrong?  Slow down steps, and free up my arm swing.  Anythign else?

quote:
1.) Free up your armswing. You are noticeably muscling at the end of your approach causing you to fall off balance. Balance issues cause strong accuracy problems. When you fall out like that it's very easy to consistently miss your target

I knew there had to be a reason for that... so on those shots i need to stay planted on my slide foot as i finish, like in that link.  Can someone post the other site that show's cranker releaes, and an approach, i cant find the link.

Sweet thanks Deeb!

Im gonna try that during practice tomorrow, and see how it works.  I sometimes have problems with my knee buckling or wanting to give out on me.  I think that is why i use the step over, or at least its all in my head.

Moe,

Yes your timing is late which is causing you to fall off at the line.  I think the cause is your quick feet to the line.  Its a walk in the park, take it nice and easy.  Just relax, walk up there and roll it.  Good luck!
