JUNIOR BOWLERS...3 15lb Ball Giveaway!!
« on: July 23, 2008, 10:29:25 AM »
Greetings all!!

I have 3 fully plugged balls that are in very good shape and I would like to donate them to 3 youth bowlers.  I will pay the shipping from here in Germany (I am in the AF and stationed over here) to youth bowlers wherever they happen to be (US, Europe, etc..)

The three balls I have are all 15 lbs:

1) Roto Grip - Odyssey (plugged once)
2) Track - Mean Machine (plugged twice but in very good shape)
3) Columbia - Throttle Up (plugged twice and in good shape)

I would like to give these balls to Junior Bowlers who don't have the opportunity to get new equipment and such.....

To get one of the balls, please post a response in this topic of why you should get one of the balls.  I am hopefully going to have a group of people judge the results and then will have the ball out in the mail for the winners!

The end of the contest will be Aug 1......

Best of Luck!

Mike

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Heyy. I think I would be a good choice because I really don't have much opportunities to get get bowling balls. Most of the balls I have now were given to me by friends who know about my family and money situations, or just bought on here for cheap. But i think i would also be a good choice because of problems I have with family, money, etc. I hope I will get this opportunity. Thanks!!

I am Tony Stone and a junior bowler. I bowl junior leagues for Skylanes, and all of my equipment is old and has been replugged many times.  I believe this will help inprove my average and bring my high school bowling bowling team to the State High School Tournament.  my current average is around 180, and i wish to raise it.

my name is joey cecil and i live in louisville, ky. my dad passed away 5 years ago and ever since then ive been working 2 jobs to help my mom pay off bills and give her a lil relaxation. most of my money goes to bills, so it takes me months at a time to save up for balls, and most times im ashamed becuz my family (aunts, uncles, cousins) has to buy them for me. I would like for once to have a ball of my own if that makes sense, just sayin i got it myself. U are a great person for doing this, and god bless. i will admit that i do have some newer equipment and am very fortunate my family helps me out as much as they do. so it be tight to be picked, but it would also be tight to see some of these other kids get the opportunity

hello, my name is kenny ford,  im not gonna sit here and lie about stuff, i am literally collecting change to get another ball, asking parents for any coin change i can get from them. along with paying league, tournaments, gas, its very very hard to get any stuff. hell its hard to buy tape because i cant afford it right now. if u pick me its cool, if u dont thats cool too there are very many other deserving youth bowlers out there. i think these would be a great addition to my tiny arsenal. the main reason i cant afford this stuff from my parents is that my mom was just diagnosed with cancer and she's not working anymore so were running on very little income, and with 2 relatives that just passed, makes it EVEN WORSE. I try and do my best to help people out here if i can, give all my info and tips for everything i know of in bowling.

Im so glad people are brainwashed to think that TRACK sucks. And its even funnier when im carrying with my TRACK ball and they're going flat ten with their BRUNSWICK ball.

I think this guy needs it because he is a bad bowler and it might make him better.

Hi my name is Jesse, i'm 14 years old and have been bowling for three years. My 14lb equipment that I bought about 6 months ago is getting to light for me to throw. I want to move up to 15lbs but bowling balls cost money and thats something my mom and I don't have alot of wich is why we recently moved in with my grandma to save money. Whenever I get a new bowling ball wich is about 1-2 a year I split the cost of the ball with my mom. I really love to bowl and it's my dream to become pro one day. Thanks for your time and this a great thing you're doing.

Hi! Thank you for thinking of the junior bowlers out there. My name is Tony Stone. I bowl in a junior league here in Minneapolis, along with bowling for my high school team. I am looking to improve so that I may be able to bowl for a college team after I graduate. I normally do not have access to high performance bowling balls like these and would enjoy the time learning how they could improve my average.

Thank you
