Gravity Shift vs. Cell
« on: August 28, 2008, 11:47:47 PM »
A new season has come upon us and it is time to evaluate what is in the bag for the winter.  I was interested in picking up a Cell when one of my teammates gave me a Gravity Shift.  I know one is Pearl Reactive, the other Solid Reactive but the RG Diff and Avg are similar.  With the same drilling
are these balls similar in roll and hook angle ?   Is the Cell more agressive or the Gravity or could these balls compliment each other with variation of drillings ?  Any input is appreciated,  as always.

The Cell will handle higher volumes of oil and cut through carrydown.  The Gravity Shift will bump off the dry more aggressively and with more angularity -- it is rolly for a strong pearl, but it's still a pearl, which means more skid in oil, more response to dry.  Both are pretty continuous, but the Cell even more so than the Gravity Shift.  They do complement each other pretty well.  Use the Cell when the Gravity Shift won't read the lane early enough, use the Gravity when the Cell starts burning up or you have to move too far inside.  This should cover medium to heavy conditions well, but both are too strong for lighter oil really.

Dan, thanks for th info.  So it sounds like Cell to Gravity to a Cherry Vibe/ Saturn should cover most lane conditions seen in normal league play.  Agreed ?

I'd be happy with that arsenal.

The Cell and Gravity make a good 1-2 punch. I have them both with the same drilling on them. My Cell is about 5 and 2-3 more than my Gravity. Hope this helps
