GREAT PBA SHOW
« on: November 23, 2009, 02:49:03 AM »
I just want to say, it was sure nice to see a struggle and watch the best bowlers in the world face conditions that were truely tuff. Its ashame the left side was not the same as the right (for the women)... I feel for CDB. It was really great to see true quality shots in the 10th of the final game for the guys. THAT IS GOOD BOWLING.

The lefty sure had the pie shot in that house..279 - 204..wow.

She was spraying shots and still coming up with strikes

I wouldn't say she was spraying, but she deffinatly had some oil. Look at her ball choice compared to the rest of the show.

To me, she easily had a 3-4 board margin of error on those lanes

From the angle you cant say for sure that the lefty was spraying the ball much, but she CAN bowl. I watched her for years... she can bowl. I would not take anything away from her... even if the right side was as playable, to beat 279 is tough!!!

CDB had no chance in hell of winning that match, especially following Rash, Russell and O'Neill.  Pluhowsky had a great look and she took full advantage of it, she wasn't spraying the ball except for the one shot that went wide.

You're kidding me, right ? One bad shot isn't spraying the ball.  Are you telling me that if you sent one wide and struck, you wouldn't take it ?? It just means she made the correct equipment and played the correct part of the lane.

Pretty sure the final score turned out 268-204 not 279-204.

Randy was showing CATS numbers during the entire show.  Shannon was not spraying the ball at all !

As far as the comment of CDB following 4 men bowlers.  They did not destroy the shot, it was already gone before the first match started.  Too bad they did not show the bowlers throwing their practice shots before the telecast.  It would be interesting to see if all of the righties destroyed the shot, or if it was really gone before they started.  After all, Russell trying to roll out the ball and Rash completly lost, they had nothing to do with destroying the condition.

In all, it was a very entertaining telecast.  Kind of reminded me of league night in my bowling center.

Actually, if you read Jason Thomas's recap, I found out that the women's match actually happened first and were oiled between the women's and men's finals. Based on the new information I've have, I think a predominant track area on the championship pair's right side is the likely culprit.  That would also explain why the scoring pace is better on the Shark and Cheetah.

Well if you ask me, I think there was something wrong with the lane machine. How the heck can the mids be so burnt if the oiled. Looked like the deeper the men went the sooner it hooked. I mean, these guys were throwing 18 - 20 and still 40 feet the balls were burnt up. Looked like Russell went 28 and started to get his hand around it (spinning it) to get length. In the end it looked like to was matching up... but come on... you call that track burn??
