North Rock in Wichita

Going to be bowling in North Rock and heard that they put in new lanes. Just wanting to know if this is true. And if they replaced the approaches to or kept the old ones.

Yes they replaced the old lane beds with new Brunwick synthetics last summer.

They kept the same approaches.

Hmm, hadn't heard that.  Only bowled there once for state several years ago.  Have to let me know how it goes, I'm curious.

That's just like, your opinion, man.

The whole installation is brand new brunswick synthetics. The approaches are brand new as well.
If you're bowling on something sport, they tend to play pretty tight. Don't really open up as much as other places do with sport patterns.

New lanes are typically like that, no track area has been developed yet.  Synthetics naturally don't develop as much of a track area as wood does, but there is still an effect.
