To all the negative people. Rember all bowling companies started somewhere with a first ball. The Egyptians were not using Storm VG Nanos when they bowled.

I understand that they are alot of new companies out their. It shows that people are still willing to buy bowling balls. and that people can still come up with different ways of selling them.

In these economic times where pro shops arent making money like they used to, is it worth it to make a new line of balls? Bowlers arent buying new balls as much as they were before and there are soo many bowling balls out there to choose from. I just think they may end up like a Banger Bowling. Couple of releases and done. If they dont make the Brunswick quota, they could be done before they even get going. Good Luck though. Brian Valenta is a tremendous bowler, shot 879 like 2 years ago.

Current Arsenal:

Radical Slant

Legends Black Diamond

900Global Bank
Seismic Desperado

Storm Virtual Energy

Brunswick Jack Daniels Viz

I am amused that Brunswick launches this additional brand. Who is the target group? To me it looks and feels like Hammer a couple of years ago (before they were devoured by Ebonite, in the Big Blue days), reminds me of Lane #1, too. What is the USP? Being "different"? From what? Rockabilly bowling? Huh... Looks to me like "something" in order to bait young bowlers, big hookers with flashy colours.

Good luck with it.

And it very well may work. I am not supporting them I have no interest in buying their gear I will stick with Seismic.
But if you can get new bowlers in with new look equipment doesn't that help the sport in the long run?

I am no certain if it is actually good for the "sport". It is good for making sales, pushing more colorful orbs into the market. But I do not see the step from self-indulgence and pseudo-attitude to something more serious.

Funny that the big B brands seems to be dull enough to warrant a different/new ball line...

They seem no different from Track, Hammer, or Seismic with color choices. If the market here and abroad buy it, then it is what it is.

Be good, or be good at it.

I dont see what the big deal is about this, how is this any different than what EBI and Storm/Roto are doing?

Secondly, it's not like Brunswick hasnt had multiple lines in the past, remember Quantum, Revolution, and the Attitude series??

I say kudos to Big B for thinking outside their box and trying something new. I would much rather have this happen as opposed to EBI playing monopoly again and buying every company in site-How many on here would be complaining if EBI was the only company?? I know I would, I personally like being able to choose which companies ball I want to purchase.

If this new line will give staffers and loyal Big B users a different reaction shape and options to choose from, how is this a bad thing??

But isn't their a post a week about how bowling is losing members quickly and things need to be done to get bowlers back in bowling centers?  Or get new bowlers to start bowling leagues? If this helps get people started somehow what is the problem? Who cares if they are not serious tourney bowlers, if they bowl it is good isn't it?

I understand just starting new ball companies isn't going to bring in millions of bowlers or revolutionize the sport but any help can be good help.
