Just got back from league. Lanes were a bit dry.. I was inside 3rd arrow with my Sonic X. Had a good look. For the three games, I missed the pocket twice. Once with a split, next shot when I overadjusted and left a bucket. Other than that, I didn't miss the pocket. I left 12 corner pins tonight. GRRRRRRR...#$%#!
Missed 3 10 pins - all from stupid mistakes.

mumzie, don't feel bad. The first game of league this afternoon, I had 6 splits in 10 frames and bowled a 127.

Just remember... there's nothing like starting a set with a 252 and not ever hitting 600. I went 599 and not for a lack of trying. I just had a bad night with picking off Mr. Tenpin the second time around. I don't keep track of it that closely, but of either team I'm on I feel safe to say that I'm the best at hitting him the second time around.

I had a teammate who hasn't shot a set under 600 for the year start with a 148 game Monday night and managed to finish with a 258 but didn't shoot 600 (shot 590).
I had a night earlier this fall in my Tuesday league where I converted 17 single pins in a 3 game set, a combination of 4 pins, 6 pins, 7 pins, 8 pins and 10 pins.
The thrill of the game, it keeps us coming back.

I hear you. I was making a run at 290, and stoned a SOLID 7, (righthanded, no less) and I don't mean mixer 7, I mean flush in the pocket 7. Last week, I left SIX 10's the last game, and picked every one of the mother truckers up. I sympathize with you greatly. There's nothing more demoralizing than making a good shot and wrapping around a 10, or blowing everything left just to see the 7 laughing at you. What can you do? REALLY enjoy the night things fall your way.

Left 13 ten pins last night. 6 in last game with an 8-pin in there too. Picked up 12 of my 13 tens, missed the last one which cost me my point.
Yes, I made adjustments.
