Gutterball or Not?
« on: May 26, 2006, 03:14:55 PM »
I was browsing around youtube and found this video:

It's pretty awesome, but would that count as a gutterball or not?

Ok, yes, of course. I'm talking about leaving the playing surface and then hitting something else outside the playing surface. I suppose if you could give a ball so much roation that it went 3 feet off and to the left and made it curve in midair like a frisbee and come back onto the table, that TOO would also be legal. Re: the bowling ball, once it hit the gutter cap, it's a dead ball. In pool, if the ball went onto the top of the edge of the table and came back onto the playing surfce, I don't know if that would be legal.

Gotchya...I wasn't even thinking about the cue ball leaving the table then bouncing off a wall or something and coming back to the table.  I understand what you were saying.
