Yeah, locally we have an all city team which takes the top 5 composite averages in the association and 2 alternates.
As it stands right now you have to have one of the top 7 averages bowling in 2 different centers in the association. Not really all that big of a deal, but we have a super center in Orlando which refuses to put out something even as difficult as a house shot. So, due to the rules, if you are a competitive bowler and want to make the team you are pretty much forced to bowl a league in this one center.
I like honor scores as much as the next guy, but it takes the fun away when a guaranteed two 170-180 average bowler shoots 300 each week.
I was hoping some local centers did something for high average in the center, because I think that's a huge accomplishment, but it sounds like everyone is only recognized within their league.
