Hammer Diesel Reactive Pearl

Can anyone tell me why my Diesel reactive pearl is getting dimples on the cover in the track area? I have had several balls in the past and none of them had this. It is starting to look like a golf ball. I was wondering if it is a defect in the cover.

Don't know if this helps or not, but I have a Diesel reactive pearl for a little over a year and haven't had any problems with dimples or any other surface irregularities other than normal wear-and tear.  Have you subjected it to an temperature extremes?  The balls today are much more sensitive to that sort of thing than the rocks we used to chuck at the pins 25 years ago.  For that matter, today's equipment isn't built to last as long either.

Of course, you could be completely correct, you may have just caught a ball with a defective cover.
