Title: Hammer Doom v. RotoGrip RS-1

In the running for a pearl ball.  Think it might be between these two.  I'm a cranker with a slower speed.  I like hard hitting, and no 10 pins

I'm a ROTOHEAD what did you expect! Actually I've thrown them both and the RS1 is a more versitle ball IMHO.

Actually, the doom will be WAY better than the RS1.  I've thrown both and the doom hits by far better.  Actually, the doom hits better than almost every ball I've thrown.

Both balls are very versitale and very good. When the RS1 came out, it was early rolling for a pearl resin, and the Doom, which is also a pearl resin, seems to rev up early also. Both are great, but id suggest the Doom because it seems to be working better rite now.

I only know about the Doom since I have one and another i'm picking up on Friday.  The Doom is an awesome ball for a high rev player.  You will get a very strong back end but it will be controllable.  The Doom is by far the best reactive pearl ball I have ever owned.  This ball flat out hits.  That will be the first thing you notice when you throw it.  It just levels the deck.  I don't get many 10 pins at all with the Doom.

I totally agree.  A lot of bowlers are really missing the boat on this ball.  I can't believe this ball is as cheap as it is. lol this ball is a steal.

Yes I have.  The ball, for a pearl, checked up really early and if I had a speed problem read the lanes wrong.  No way it hit as hard as the doom.  The RS1 did have its place and I did like it.  I'm just saying it is no doom.

Hmm, seems like the Doom is the popular vote here.  I'm still undecided, but I like the way my Fuel hits, and im averaging almost 200 with it.  But its when I have a hard time controling it that makes me want something else.  I figure with a ball that matches up better with me, I should be up around 210+.  Keep the conversation going until I pick one! lol

I've only thrown the DOOM but I don't think anyone can go wrong with this ball unless you plan on bowling on a flood.  For me, it's been very controllable with a stacked drilling and doesn't have any over/under.
