Title: Hammer Rebel vs Storm Fight
Post by: abcarr on August 21, 2016, 02:05:57 PM
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm looking for (and needing) a ball for medium oil conditions.  I thought my mind was made up and I was going to go with the Rebel,  but after doing some more reading I came across the Fight.  And since I prefer Storm/Roto Grip balls, I'm just wondering how the Fight and the Rebel compare to one another.  I know the Fight has a much higher RG (2.62 compared to 2.48 for the Rebel) but the differentials are almost the same; 0.043 for the Fight and 0.044 for the Rebel.  And according to Bowling This Month's comparison, the Rebel has a length rating of 16 compared to the Fight's 13.  But with all the other numbers (torque, backend and total hook) being very close, I'm trying to understand how these numbers translate into what to expect when actually throwing the ball.

Thanks!!

I personally would get the Rebel. I've had the Fight since it came out and it's been a love it or hate it ball. I've heard a lot of great things about the Rebel

The rebel on the same conditions should hook later than the fight. As SVstar stated, the fight has been a love/hate ball.

Thanks for the input.  Looks like I'll stay with the Rebel since it seems like everyone is hearing good/great things about it, the PSO highly recommends it and the comments here regarding the the Fight.  I'm going to stop by the pro shop on my way home from work today and get it ordered.

Thanks again!!!
