Because of the modest strength of the Strike King weight block .28 diff it reacts dramatically differently depending on drilling.

My drilling is very smooth but strong with a 5 1/4 inch pin to pap.  Many bowlers I have seen use it have about 4 1/2 pin to paps!  They have a lot of angular reaction at the breakpoint!

I am using mine on a short pattern high friction super strong midlane center.  Ever heard the term chistmas tree pattern.  Mine is smooth and poppy on this bake.

This drilling snaps on friction and smooths out the overunder for this deceivingly powerful pill.  I have friends with this ball and good hand and at 4 1/2 pin to pap this baby snaps off an angular spot!

Try something urethane. There are several choices now and most will be weaker than the Strike King.

Why does everyone laugh when I bowl?

LuckyLefty mine drilled pin above middle finger with wt. hole to bring it back to about 1/2 negative side it does everything you said. It just even with that some times I still need a little less hook. My ball speed is around 14 to 15 mph.

I think I would try the 4000 grit then the delayed reaction polish.  This is an inexpensive fix and pretty quick for a pro shop to do if you do not own a spinner.
