Want to find a consistent hand position. In the first few years, I was really able to play to my strengths and stay behind the ball and play up and in, but after taking time off (and picking up some bad habits), it's changed a lot...even when the lane conditions aren't that grueling.
Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

Go back to your A game stay behind it and play up and in, focus on getting rid of the bad habits not working around them

I would agree. You have to get that hand position locked in to the point of it becoming almost automatic, before you can ever move forward and try new hand positions in developing a "B" and "C" game.

People are gonna crucify me for this answer but, get an adjustable wrist brace and practice with it. It will train and strengthen your wrist to the favored hand positions. Then you can take it off for competition. I wear one periodically for practice when start wrapping my hand around the ball and I'm not going to lie, I HATE IT! But it helps retrain my wrist and hand to in one position to teach me when to rotate on the ball. I put it on for a few games of practice, HATE IT, then strike tremendously. For $50ish bucks, I spend more on spilt liquor.

Have several friends that an wrist brace helped a bunch,as for me do not like the feel I try to use hand and finger positions with out feeling restricted.
