Have to be fitted to see, but here's a couple things.  You'd have to use it for a while to see what it does to your hand, arm, or swing.  A stretched span feels really good . . for a while.  Then your hand starts getting tired, you start getting strain, tendonitis, etc.  I'd say it has more to do with the ball reaction than the fit, but I'd definitely get yourself refit to find out.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

And I will add that while that's longer than normal, I've had people with natural spans of 5 1/8+, now their hands are huge, but it's not outside the realm of possibility.

Heck anything is possible, but the only way to know would be to get properly fitted imo.

I recently got refitted and they stretched my old span by about 1/16th and adjusted my pitches slightly. Made a pretty big difference in how I'm coming out of the ball and have had zero issues with my thumb sticking like I was with my old span and pitches.

I've learned humans can get used to about anything and feel comfortable with it, even if its not exactly right.

If you are having finger problems due to bowling you definitely have something going on ( unless you have an unrelated injury that causes it) and should have your fit checked, regardless of the new ball.
