Ball Suggestions for Dad?
« on: December 06, 2004, 07:33:17 AM »
My dad currently has a Track Mojo and Rhino. They are 16's and he would like to go to a 15. I havent been around much lately and have not looked at ball options much.

My dad has medium to low revs. I would say more to the low side. Then he has medium to slow speed. His mojo is too much at times for our local house shot. He thinks a 15 would allow him to increase the speed. I think 15 ould help his game. Hes getting old. haha.

Ok.. now what I am looking for in a ball. I'd like it to be in the lower price range. I will be buying it from the local alley. I'd like it to be a ball that gets length with a very controlable backend. I know some of that has to do with drilling but I will worry about layouts later. I'd also prefer it to be between the rhino and mojo in hook.

What do you guys think? If more info is needed just hollar. Thanks in advance.

Looking for a fairly cheap ball. As I will be buying it from the local shop.

Any ideas?

Ebonite Ice should run you abnout $150.00 drilled in your local shop great length and controlled backend.  Nice simple core and long proven coverstock.  I also like power grooves and they are cheaper but this might be a little more predictable in the backend than the power groove.  If you choose the power groove I would get the solid verion not the pearl.

Windoor suggestion was good also but I know you said you were buying from the local shop so they may not have that ball or they may not have it at that price, it is a very good ball.

There are quite a few options really do you have any particular balls you want to know about or any certain companys.

I should just quit bowling, oh wait I already tried that.

I had considered the Crunchtime but even it runs more than I wanted to spend. 150 from pro ship drilled and etc...   I'd just like to get him a ball between his two current ones that wont cost me a fortune. Does this help? LMK. Thanks.
