Happy dance

Whoo Hoo! Finally some good news.

My traveling scratch league (5 person uncapped) will be going from 8 teams last year (its first year in existence) to 14 teams this year. As I had hoped, once the word got around about a traveling scratch league at night (the city had a morning traveling league) that others would consider joining.

The only downside of all these teams is we may have to drop one of the houses we went to last year because they will not have enough open lanes but we will still be rotating through at least 7 houses.

The two colleges in town have bowling programs, their coaches have pushed the league to their bowlers as a training tool for different conditions. It looks like we have at least 4 teams from those 2 programs.

If we could get a sponsor to up the prize money more it might really take off. But since we don’t bowl at one location that eliminates quite a few of the normal businesses who would sponsor the league. But we are still looking.

Pinbuster -- Could you keep the smaller house by breaking the league into two sessions for that week only?  --  JohnP

It's not one of the smaller houses.

We bowl second shift, this house has 32 lanes, last year they had 16 teams on their second shift leagues, this year they got another league to move in as well and it appears they will have 28 lanes occupied.

We are picking up the house the league moved in from. But unless they lose some teams on that night it appears impossible for us to bowl there.

Good for you, PB - nice to hear about non-capped scratch leagues, especially travelling ones, growing in size and popularity.

Legend !!!

ME !!!

Hoo Hee Ha Ha!! You make a funny  Sawbones.

The only thing legendary about me is my serious (some would say sour) disposition and possibly the size of my arms at one point years ago.

Wsucat can tell you the only thing that trembles by presence is the floor.
