Hardest Feat to accomplish in bowling
« on: May 13, 2010, 02:50:44 AM »
Out of these five feats (not including 900 series) which do you think is the hardest to accomplish:

1) 300 game
2) 800 series
3) convert 7-10 split
4) Average 230+ on a house shot
5) Average 210+ on a sport shot

I'd have to go with #3 because that's the one that has never happened in any league I've ever bowled in.

For me, converting the 7-10 split would be the hardest.  I've done that once in 24 years of bowling.  Next would have to be 210 on sport.  The only sport conditions I've bowled on are my PBAX leagues.  Averaged 202 last year but a LONG way to go before I could average 210.

The 7-10 I think is the hardest.  Made it 3 times in 26 years, only once was it during a sanctioned league.  Alot of times, the difference between 750 and 800, is where are your non strikes and did you make the spares?  Know someone who had 2 opens and shot 801 (2 whiffed 10 pins).

Russell on these forums, shot 833 with 2 opens one night (front 9, open (whiff 10 pin).....front 9 open (pocket 7-10).....300).

7-10 would be the hardest in my opinion.  Think to yourself howmany honor scores you have for yourself and then think how many times you have converted the 7-10.  And it also depends on the place you bowl at and how easy it is to bring something out from the pit.  Its all relative to where you bowl.

I personally would say the 7-10 split, as i've never done it nor have I ever even seen a conversion of it..

Well if I have to go by bowlerinwyo's idea I would have to say the 7-10 is the easiest of those.  Its the only one I have completed  :-)

I''''ve never seen a 7-10 picked up!

However, I''''ve been on the lanes when it has been picked up....4 times...I always look away as ball heading down the lanes.

I have a friend who will regularly roll the 10 over the 7 spot in practice about 1 out of 5 times.

So given all that....I''''d say a 900 for a righty on a five man league team format.  800 for a righty....tough also!

Also hardest feat in bowling!  47 titles like Walter Ray has done already.  Catch him!

I have to say #4 and #5.  The others just require to be locked in for one frame, game or night.  4 and 5 has to span over 90+ games during the fall, or 40+ games in the summer...

Harder and statistically harder 292 but one 800 would be nice.

In my case the 7-10 split would be the easiest. I have done that one a few times. Still waiting on the 300, 230 on THS, and 210 on Sport. I will go with the 292 as the hardest.

I've done #1, 2, and 3, and I'm a hack, so it can't be any of them.

#4 isn't that hard at the right house, so I'm going with #5.

6) All of the above.

I haven't accomplished any of these yet...so I have to go with #6.

800 series in my opinion only because I haven't been much closer then 50 pins of it a few times. The reason I think 800 series is the hardest because if you think about it it's not that much different then a 900 series. Just a frame here and there and nearly all strikes you have a 800.
