Help Please with Selecting Ball
« on: December 07, 2005, 10:38:43 AM »
A friend  wants me to help selecting a ball.  He's throwing an original Inferno, which typically works well for him.  He tells me the laneman has changed the shot, with less oil on the outside (where he wants to play) and screaming backends.  I know, I know, he should probably move left and use the oil in the middle and dry back ends to score.  Kinda stubborn on this.  However, he also says he wants something else in his bag for dryer lanes.  All he carries is his Inferno, so I agree to drop the argument to move on the lanes.
So, I'm considering suggesting one of three options:
Visionary Centaur
Track Desert Heat
Ebonite Black Ice
I know you don't know his specks - let's say he is Joe Bowler - average speed, average revs, decent bowler averaging 2 os on a THS.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Storm Tropicals, Vibe or Cross Fire would work, give "Joe Bowler" specs

A Visionary Blue/Green Centaur would work, or a Slate Blue Gargoyle, depending on exactly how dry we are talking here...

Thanks to all who took the time to reply.  After studying the reviews of the balls listed above, I decided to recommend the Visionary Centaur.
Thanks again
