Has anyone bought a Lane Masters ball?
« on: August 02, 2004, 10:57:52 PM »
I am thinking about maybe getting one of the below:

Perfection Reactive
Perfection Particle
New Standard
Big Kahuna
Answer

Does anyone have any info on how to get one of these balls?

I was on their website and saw a number to call. Is it open to the public?
Does anyone know how much these balls cost directly from LM?
Also, if anyone knows where I can get any cheap, let me know please.

Thanks

At this current time I am evaluating some Equipment for Lanemaster.  They  have joined with AZO and I am using a Drastic Particle and Mirage.

Drastic Particle is drilled Label.  The ball comes with a slight polish even though the Web Site states Matte.  The ball with this drilling works well but it is basically an up the lane ball.  Good carry and reaction.

Mirage: Drilled 4.5 x 3.5 with weight hole on axis.  Good length with good recovery.  Not a big snap but it is drilled to recover slightly with an arc.

If the price is right, I see no reason not to throw a Lanemaster Ball.  Remember, most of them have symmetric weight blocks.  Drill them accordingly.

Thanks.

I am more interested on info on how to get the ball. I have thrown other people's, but no one near me sells them in pro shops, so i'd have to do it over the net. Any info on how to get one???

From my understanding they are an independent and use different channels of distribution.  The new Lane Masters balls are not the same as the $50 AZO's that are in some places.  They had the New Standard as the center piece on the table at a luncheon I went to hosted by Lane Masters.  They had a couple of others I think like the Yeah Baby!  All the documentation was marked out and new numbers were going to be shipped in.  The best thing to do is call them direct and ask how to get one.  They said that they pride themselves on their customer service and to call them.

Just talked to them yesterday; John in Sales told me the New Standard and the Yeah Baby! will be sold for $149.95. (fairly inexpensive, considering the qualityt goign into their production line; the "particles" are actually industrial diamonds. Current production is 50-80 balls per day!
