Has anyone else heard?

in my local newspaper, there was an article about the USBC or w/e, making all bowling balls after Feb.1 illegal, to even out the scoring. they said all bowling balls made before Feb.1 will be "grandfathered" in. correct if im wrong, or tell me if you heard also.
