Title: Has anyone had lessons with Carol Norman?
Post by: srlunatic on February 19, 2004, 09:00:28 AM
Greetings all!

I have the priviledge of 3 hours of coaching coming up with Carol Norman on the 4th of March.  This is my first time taking getting instruction and was wondering if anyone has advice or has had coaching from Carol Norman.

Thanks!

I haven't had any lessons with Carol Norman, but she has given lessons to a number of people here in Edmond and OKC. I have watched her give these lessons and she does an excellent job. People that have taken lessons from her were more than satisifed. There are 3 other Pros that bowl out of Edmond/OKC of which 1 of them (used to be 2) gives lessons also, and they tell me she is the best and they can't compete with her. I promise you that you won't be disappointed.

I've worked with Carol and she fixed some timing problems I had.  Really good and fun to work with.

I have not had an official coaching session with Carol but I have crossed with her in regional competition.  After we were done, I had her give me a quick critique on issues she might have observed, and she had noted a timing issue that took very little time to remedy.

As others noted, she knows well what she speaks of

I have been working with Carol over the past year.  She is excellent.  She will help you alot, and be worth every penny.  You should get a video of the lesson, if it is a one on one lesson with her.

I schedule lessons with her for my customers about every other month.  She almost always sells out.  Very good, many repeat customers.

Don't worry about the Storm ball thing.  Yes, she thinks Storm is the best, but she won't push the issue.

You should have a great time!  Enjoy!!!

Two close personal friends, who are good bowlers (One won the Oregon Queens, after Carol's Lessons) have had lessons from her in Reno with CATS. They both praised her highly. I think you have no worries.

Mike, Is Carol Norman going to be coaching here in
New Mexico? I to live here in New Mexico. Good to
see a post from someone else in this AO. I work for
NNSA and our Western Command Facility is on Kirtland
AFB. I sometimes practice at Kirtland Lanes. In the
afternoon depending on who is working the desk it's
$1.50 a line. Kirtland used to be a 24 lane facility
until some base commander got a wild hair in his a!!
to turn 50% the place into an arobics studio. Now we
are stuck with 12 lanes. I don't know anyone that still
bowls leagues there, just to small a venue but great
for practice.

Good luck with your session with Carol Norman.
