agreed, i know a few guys who are notorious wall bowlers, so much so they will tell you flat out that the wall and equipment make them good. They know what they are, and are humble, and just enjoy being able to compete on the soft conditions, and i don't mind that. Its the ones who feel the need to showboat, talk smack, make snide comments, and things like that.
Some conditions, take where i bowl at on sundays. Amazingly dry, all my equipment is drilled for flatter conditions or tournament conditions. All of my equipment just is too aggressive, so much so i have to get way inside because i hit the ball well, about 5th or 6th arrow, and i have to get it out to about 5 to even get a chance at hitting the pocket. If i throw it hard, washout, soft its nose dive. Send it out too far it burns up too quickly and dies. It just isn't very forgiving, i actually find it easier to bowl on a sport shot because i can play a shot i am more suited for, 2nd or 3rd arrow with a tighter line.
Now while i can't keep any of my equipment on the lane, and usually use plastic up 15, the house bowlers have ICON'S, carbide bombs playing 10 or 15 with so much area its ridiculous, and to top it off they brag about how much better they are than other people.
Now this thing i bowl in is 10 bucks, and i like it because it does demand shot making, something i've been working on all summer, and it requires precision. It just angers me to see how easily they can hit a shot where the same shot demands me to thread a needle. I've been experimenting with older balls such as urethanes or polished resins and stuff, some success, still a work in progress.

am i still considered a lefty, i never get to play the left side of the lane
